Opening Saturday Feb 18th!

It’s official. We will be open in TWO days! Saturday Feb 18th. We open at NOON and stay open until 1am. Come be one of the first to see the new place. Don’t forget to bring in some cds, dvds or video games for case or to trade for some new stuff.

Update on the move + New additions!

Finally an update on the new location! Things have been going pretty well so far thanks to the huge amount of help I’ve gotten. Thanks to all those who have contributed. As of right now, I am still hoping to open the doors sometime between Feb 14th and Feb 21st. It all hangs on the city giving me my occupancy permit. I’m sure you all want to know what new things will be at the new location right? Well here’s some (most) to whet your appetite:

-No less than TEN new games – Silent Scope 1 & 2, Madden Season 2, Time Crisis 2, Two more showcase fighting game cabs that can be switched out for any of the many fighters we have on hand, A single slot Neo Geo standup cab, Beatmania 5th Mix, Drummania 10th Mix and Guitar Freaks 11th Mix.

-A dedicated 16 console setup for games new and old.

-A lounge area with couches, tables and a Donkey Kong cocktail table arcade.

-Two giant HD projection screens! One will be used mostly for Rock Band and the other for anything else you want to play.

-A dedicated streaming station for tournaments or any other type of gaming event.

-A giant chalkboard hung above the lounge for keeping track of the highest scores reached at AL.

-Ping Pong and Foosball tables

-New PREMIUM MEMBERSHIPS. Details to come.

-Expanded hours! We are now open 6 days a week and more hours each day.

New Game! Soul Calibur 3 (or 2)

Just in and now on the floor for play is SOUL CALIBUR 3! If you’ve played the PS2 version, you know there were some issues with the game and is generally disliked by most. Here’s a quote directly from Namco about this version, “Soulcalibur III: Arcade Edition is a re-tuned, re-vamped, and, most importantly, fixed version of Soulcalibur III. Naturally, all glitches found in the console version have been fixed. In addition to that, we’ve re-tuned the overall balance of many moves and re-vamped Amy, Hwang and Li Long as official characters. All three have been revised into more distinctive move sets and help to expand the already expansive Soulcalibur III line-up.” So if you think you know Soul Calibur 3, think again. I also have the option of putting Soul Calibur 2 in the cab and probably will soon as it seems to be the preferred game in the series. A great thing about this cab is that you can actually plug in PS2 controllers and play!

The move is almost here!

The final day at the current location will be January 22nd. We will be closed for about 3 weeks (maybe less). We are shooting for a Feb 14th soft opening and a Feb 18th GRAND OPENING. Details will be posted as we get them.

New game – BATTLETOADS!

Just added to the floor tonight – 3-player Battletoads! If you’ve never played the arcade version, you are in for a surprise. Besides being the only BT game that supports 3-players, this version was not ported to any console so it’s an all new game for most of you.

Holiday hours, specials and concert!

The arcade will be closed on Thursday to celebrate THANKSGIVING. We are opening earlier on Friday – 2pm. Regular hours apply for the rest of the week.

Arcade Legacy is moving and expanding!

As of today it is official. Arcade Legacy is growing! We offered a grand opportunity to move into the Cincinnati Mall. I know that most people immediately have poor opinion of the place, but there a big things happening there and AL will be apart of it! Just yesterday they officially announced a three-rink Hockey Arena going in Fall of 2012! That’s just the beginning.

The new spot will be nearly DOUBLE the space we currently have, so that means more games, bigger media store, more tournament space, lounge area, more projectors, more EVERYTHING! They’ve offered me the kind of deal you can only dream of, so it is a very exciting opportunity.

For the few of you who know the layout of the mall, I will taking over the space that DEB was in. It is directly across from the food court (which is also expanding) and a few steps away from the movie theater. The ideal location for an arcade.

This means I will be on the lookout for some new arcade games. If anyone has some, knows someone who does or sees them for sale, please email or call me with that info.

There will be many more posts as things progress so keep an eye out on this website or facebook to stay updated. The planned opening for the new location is early February. We will be open all the way up to that point at our current location with plenty of great events in December and January.
